Hickey® is made of food-grade plastics free of BPA, Phthalates, Latex, PVC, and heavy metals. A hickey is intended to cover the mouth completely. The incisors, canines, molars, and back molars are the teeth used by ‘Champ’ for chewing hickey. The use of spikes on the hickey can help to reduce tactile sensations in the mouth. It also aids in the reduction of irritation caused by developing teeth, as well as in the strengthening of the jaw joint.

Sensory and Therapeutic Benefits

The Hickey® is more than just a chewing tool; it is a sensory regulator:

Tactile Desensitisation: The integrated spikes on the surface provide specific sensory input that can help reduce oral hypersensitivity and normalise tactile sensations in the mouth.
Teething Relief: The textured surface aids in the reduction of irritation caused by developing teeth, providing a soothing massage to inflamed gums.
Jaw Strengthening: Regular use of the Hickey® assists in strengthening the jaw joint and improving jaw stability, which are foundational for feeding and speech development.
